A couple of weekends ago we took a day trip up to Whangamata to try out the Skate Park. We all had heaps of fun. They boys tried out the park and the girls watched, laughed, and decided they definitely didn't want to give it a go, except for Holly who raced around on her scooter.

We went to the beach for lunch and discovered 'bridge jumping'. Wow, check out our pic. Look how high we got. It was extreme!!! especially when we all jumped at the same time.

We would totally recommend the Whangamata Skate Park. This is our friend showing his talent. Has anyone else been there and if so, what did you think of it?

Really good to see you blogging Tyler. I am very impressed with your jump off the bridge. I love jumping into water but I'm not sure if I would be brave enough to jump onto sand! I don't really know Whangamata very well, skate parks sure are a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to reading more on your blog in weeks to come.
Mr Norrish
hi tyler I was wondering were whangamata is could you tell me were it is
Hi Tyler, Did yo fall off the skateboard?
Hi Tyler, was your trip fun?
Hi Josh, Kyle and William
No I didn't fall off the skateboard but some parts of the skate park were really steep so I sat down on my board.
Yes it was a fun trip.
Whangamata is about half an hour from Waihi. If you go to Waihi, there is sign posts. It's not far but some of the road between Waihi and Whangamata is really windy so if you get car sick, it might not be very fun. Maybe you could sit in the front for that part. That sometimes helps with feeling yuck in the car. Does anyone get car sick? We were lucky because we don't but our friend that came with us does. They had to stop about 5 times.
Hi Tyler
That was good that you didn't fall off!
